Reality show celebrities never die; they just fade away, or get more plastic and cosmetic surgery. Saaphyri Windsor is a case in point. Windsor was a contestant on the second series of VH1’s “Flavor of Love” back in 2006, nearly a decade ago. Since then, the former television personality has been going through a lot, including bad plastic and cosmetic surgery.
Windsor recently made her new debut on “Botched”, the plastic surgery recovery reality show on E! Television. The years have not been kind to Saaphyri. According to the VH1 blog, Saaphyri was sentenced to three years in prison in January 2009 after failing to show up for a November 2005 court date. Apparently, she faced time for the unauthorized use of her uncle's identity. Saaphyri was released in August 2010, after serving 22 months.
Seeking a fresh start, Saaphyri lost weight but still felt think in the stomach area. She also sought out bigger breasts through augmentation. According to WetPaint.com, Unfortunately, [Saaphyri] turned to now-infamous bootleg doctor “The Butcher” for the work, and she actually woke up mid-way through the procedure!”
“I woke up during surgery. I said something to him and he actually told me to be quiet,” Saaphyri told the doctors of “Botched”. “There was one patient and he didn’t even take her to the hospital, he took her to his home. She actually died at his home.” Says WetPaint.com, “All of that malpractice caught up to the surgeon, she explained, as he was eventually murdered (by a disgruntled patient, allegedly) at a Frosty Freeze in L.A. And yet, the former Flav girlfriend was left with her loose stomach skin and oversized breasts and areolas.”
Fortunately, Doctors Nassif and Dubrow (the doctors on “Botched”) were able to able to provide a liposuction and tummy tuck for Saaphyri in addition to lifting and reducing the overall size of her breasts.
See you in the reruns, everybody!
