oBand The oBand is a bariatric procedure that relies on a lap band, or gastric band. The oBand is wrapped around the upper portion of the stomach. Compared to other bariatric surgery option, the oBand is low-maintenance and minimally invasive. It is inserted under general anesthesia and can be adjusted after insertion with a tiny needle filled with saline.
