A synthetic polymer of polylactic acid (PLA), which is injected into the deep layers of skin, where it induces formation of collagen in the treated areas. The New-fill product is completely resorbed (digested) within several weeks, however, the new collagen which has formed is long lasting. The new collagen formed by New-Fill has been shown to be present after 5 years of initial treatment.
