CO₂ Laser Skin Resurfacing might be unsafe for those who have had silicone injections as the lasers can burn and scar the skin around those areas.  A gentler alternative is the YAG laser, effective generally on milder wrinkles.  While not as powerful the YAG is much more accurate than the CO₂ and causes the surrounding tissues less damage.  Whichever laser you choose, Laser Skin Resurfacing does have it’s limitations and those with sever scarring may need to also use other skin rejuvenation techniques to achieve their ideal results.

Day 1-7 Patients, if needed, sometimes return home with a bandage over the treated area and wear it for about a week.

Day 10 After laser skin resurfacing, it should take you about 10 days to recover from crusting.

Day 14 Expect to return to work about 2 weeks after surgery and makeup can usually be safely applied by then to cover any redness.

Note**After laser skin resurfacing, recovery from redness and pinkishness can take several weeks, and usually no longer than about 6 months
