After he graduated with his Bachelor's degree from Princeton University, Dr. Winslow went on to complete his doctoral degree at the Columbia University College of Physicians. Next, he traveled to Connecticut to complete a general surgery internship and a general surgery residency at the Yale-New Haven Medical Center. For his specialized plastic surgery training, Dr. Winslow attended Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Following the completion of his plastic surgery residency, Dr. Winslow moved to North Carolina. For the next 20+ years, Dr. Winslow worked as a surgeon at five local area hospitals, and as a professor at the North Carolina School of Medicine.
