A zombie invasion is taking over a doctor’s office in Miami. But not really. Dr. Michael Salzhauer has pulled off a remarkable original viral campaign on YouTube where the doctor explains the need for plastic surgery, even for zombies.
"Even if we did have a real zombie attack in Miami, the zombies would still want to have plastic surgery, since so many people get plastic surgery in Miami," Salzhauer said.
The video is only five minutes long and the actors are all employees of Salzhauer's Bal Harbour Plastic Surgery but that has not stopped the video from receiving over 100,000 views in just a few days. The premise is simple Dr. Salzhauer explains. "The zombie comes into the operating room and we think she's going to eat or eyes or something. Instead, she asks for plastic surgery to look like a different zombie."
This is not Dr. Salzhauer’s first effort at filmmaking for his plastic surgery office. His last video, “Jewcan Sam: A Nose Job Love Song” admittedly caused a bit of a local controversy. Dr. Salzhauer claims he was endeavoring to use “Jewish humor” to appeal to a particular demographic.
Regardless of past video or attempts at humor, Dr. Salzhauer hopes his zombie commercial will lead to more business. The doctor and author also hopes to use the zombie craze sweeping the nation to introduce a contest that will, according the good doctor, “reward the best-looking zombie with some free services – Botox, fillers, or even a discount on plastic surgery.”
