Fractional Laser Stretch Mark Treatment Earns FDA Approval

Women now have a new option in stretch mark removal, thanks to FDA approval of an advanced fractional laser stretch mark treatment. The Palomar Lux1540 fractional laser has been used to treat a variety of cosmetic concerns in the past, but has only recently been approved for reducing the appearance of striae or stretch marks. The introduction of the Lux1540 for this purpose allows plastic surgeons and skin care specialists to offer an additional option to patients unhappy with stretch marks that have not responded well to other types of cosmetic treatment.
